In January 2010 the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons donated £50,000.00 to go towards the Haiti disaster appeal, which will enable 100 shelter boxes to provide tempory accomadation for 1000 people to live for a year.

Some shelter boxes around the world are still in use after 5 years of use.
